Jerry Gowen

Jerry Gowen is a St. Simons Island, Georgia based professional freelance pianist. His career as an accomplished pianist, conductor, and arranger, covers over 40 years in the music industry including over 7,000 hours of onstage performance time. As a member of Opryland USA's and Dollywood's audition teams, he has listened to hundreds of live auditions.

Gowen's experience spans from working with symphony orchestras to bluegrass bands across America and Europe. Jerry has performed and/or recorded with Country Music Hall of Fame members Brenda Lee, Roy Acuff, Bill Anderson, Porter Wagoner, Little Jimmy Dickens and Minnie Pearl. He has also performed with Lee Greenwood, Doug Stone, Gary Morris, Connie Smith, Chely Wright, Ken Mellons, Rhett Akins, James Bonamy, Mandy Barnett, Johnny Russell, Jeanne Seely, Marty Roe (Diamond Rio), Dean Sams (Lonestar), Stephen Curtis Chapman, Brian Hilligoss, John Rich (Big and Rich), Jessica Andrews, Natalie Stovall, Jason Petty, Tabitha Fair, Julie Wilde, Neysa Wilkins, Tricia Walker, Ty Herndon, Annette de la Torre, Kylie Harris, Laurelyn Carter, Eric Horner, Jack Jezzro, Greg Jennings (Restless Heart), The Craig Duncan Orchestra, The Tennessee River Boys, John England, Kelly King, Billy Grantham, Chonda Pierce, Jerry Salley, Tim Rushlow, Kellye Cash, Norma Jean, Andrea Zonn, Janet Ivey, Pete Huttlinger, Tim Nichols, Roy Vogt, John Hughey, Andrea Andonian, Holly Ferris, Urbie Green, Mel Deal, Lloyd Wells, Jeff Dayton, Marsha Thornton, Skip Ewing, Pam MacBeth, Dee Reilly, Richard Hayman, Denny Jiosa and many others.

Jerry's principal teachers and mentors include Robert E. Hill, Chester Baggett, Ed Barr, Dell Hitchcock, Roger Cushman, Donald Yaxley, Paul Langston, Geoffrey Gilbert, Lloyd Wells, Porter Wagoner, Henry Smiley, Wendell Dixon and Roger Douglas.
